Protego (USA) Inc. to invest $10.1 million in South Carolina expansion

Protego (USA) Inc., a global industrial equipment manufacturer, has announced plans to expand its operations in North Charleston, S.C. The $10.1 million project, scheduled for completion in 2026, is expected to create 39 new jobs.

The company builds and provides devices and tank equipment for the oil and gas, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, and bio-energy industries. Products include flame arresters, valves, and tank equipment, as well as new products for cryogenic storage applications.

The company plans to expand its existing facility and transition from assembling to manufacturing tank venting and explosion protection product lines. The expansion also will allow the company to implement production welding and CNC machining capabilities.
